FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Conservative claims. No fine-print surprises. No guaranteed savings.

What is Parcel Plan?

Parcel Plan is a document preparation and information service that turns your county assessment notice into an Assessment Review or a filed-ready Appeal Plan. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal representation.

What does Parcel Plan provide?

Parcel Plan provides document preparation and educational materials that turn a county assessment notice into an Assessment Review or a filed-ready Appeal Plan. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal representation.

Are you lawyers?

No. Parcel Plan is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or legal representation. You (or a licensed representative you hire separately) typically file with the county.

Do you guarantee property tax savings?

No. Parcel Plan does not guarantee assessment reductions or tax savings. Outcomes depend on your property facts, available evidence, and decisions by the county board.

Who files the appeal?

The property owner typically files with the county, or may hire a separately licensed representative where allowed. Parcel Plan prepares documents and guidance; filing remains the owner’s responsibility unless a separate representation engagement applies later.

How much does Parcel Plan cost?

Assessment Review is $149. Appeal Plan standard checkout is $999, with a marketed complexity range of $799 to $1,499.

Where do you operate?

United States only. We prioritize counties and states with open assessment appeal windows and may decline work when deadlines are too close to prepare responsibly. We currently highlight hubs for Florida, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Delaware, California, and Oregon.

What if my deadline is this week?

Contact us immediately — we may decline if it is too late to prepare responsibly. Always confirm the deadline on your notice or official board site.

Is this a contingency / % of savings deal?

No. Parcel Plan uses flat document-prep pricing — not a contingency cut of savings we cannot promise.

Will you appear at my hearing?

Not in the base Appeal Plan. Representation (where allowed) is optional later — not part of our week-1 offer.

How do I know my deadline?

Use the date on your notice and your county board’s official site. We do not invent deadlines — always confirm locally.

What do I need to upload?

Your assessment / TRIM / tax statement notice, parcel number, and any prior appeal documents you have.

What’s the difference between Assessment Review and Appeal Plan?

Assessment Review ($149) is a written go/no-go style memo with informational over-assessment context. Appeal Plan (checkout $999; typical range $799–$1,499) is a fuller filed-ready package: comps, error/exemption checklist, form templates, and hearing script.

How do payments work?

Checkout is handled by Stripe. Assessment Review is paid in full at purchase. Appeal Plan standard checkout is $999. Refund policies are stated in Terms after legal review.

Refunds?

Refund terms are governed by our Terms of Use (subject to legal review). Contact hello@theparcelplan.com with order details if you have a billing question.

What about Texas or other licensed-agent states?

Where representation requires a license (e.g., TDLR in Texas), we do not offer representation without a qualified partner. Prep materials may still be available subject to local rules.
