1. Who we are

Parcel Plan ("Parcel Plan," "we," "us," or "our") operates theparcelplan.com and related intake, checkout, and homeowner portal features. We provide document preparation and educational materials for U.S. property-tax assessment appeals. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. Contact: hello@theparcelplan.com. 2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:

• Contact details — email address, and phone if you voluntarily provide one.
• Property and order details — street address, city, state, ZIP, county, parcel/PIN identifiers, product selected, and related intake notes.
• Documents you upload — assessment notices, photos, appraisals, exemption records, and similar files needed to prepare a digital PDF / portal deliverable.
• Payment metadata — processed by Stripe (we do not store full card numbers on our servers). We may receive payment status, last4/brand where provided by Stripe, and Checkout session identifiers.
• Account/auth data — when the portal is enabled, magic-link authentication and session identifiers via Supabase Auth.
• Marketing attribution — UTM parameters and click IDs (e.g., gclid, fbclid, ttclid) and referrer, when present, associated with checkout metadata for performance reporting.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, and basic logs from our hosting provider (Vercel) and security tooling.

3. How we use information

• Deliver Assessment Reviews and Appeal Plans as digital PDF / portal packages.
• Operate intake, checkout, customer support, and the portal.
• Process payments and prevent fraud or abuse.
• Improve the site and service quality (aggregated or de-identified analytics where practical).
• Send transactional messages about your order; marketing emails only where permitted and with an unsubscribe option when required.
• Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell personal information as that term is commonly understood under California law, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in the ordinary course of our document-prep business. If that practice changes, we will update this Policy and provide required notices/opt-outs.

4. How we share information

We may share information with:

• Service providers / processors that help us operate the business under contractual confidentiality and use limits, including:
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Supabase — authentication, database, and private file storage (when configured)
  • Vercel — application hosting and related logs
  • Email delivery providers used to send magic links or transactional mail
• Professional advisers (e.g., attorneys, accountants) under confidentiality when needed.
• Authorities when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not publish your uploaded notices publicly. County filing is performed by you (or your separately hired representative); we do not file on your behalf under standard products.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We and our processors may use cookies or local storage for session continuity (e.g., portal auth), security, and basic site function. Analytics or advertising cookies, if introduced, will be disclosed and controlled consistent with applicable law. You can control cookies through browser settings; disabling some cookies may limit portal features.

6. Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the services, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Uploaded documents and order records are typically kept for the duration of the engagement and a reasonable period afterward (often up to several years) unless a shorter or longer period is required. You may request deletion as described below; we may retain limited information when legally required or for legitimate business needs (e.g., completed transaction records).

7. Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to a small SaaS-hosted service (TLS in transit, access-controlled storage when Supabase is configured, and least-privilege service keys on the server). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. Your privacy rights (U.S.)

Depending on your state of residence (including California and other states with consumer privacy laws), you may have rights to:

• Know / access personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion, subject to legal exceptions
• Receive a portable copy of certain information
• Opt out of sale or sharing, if we ever engage in those activities
• Limit use of sensitive personal information, where applicable
• Not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights

To exercise rights, email hello@theparcelplan.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" and enough detail for us to verify your identity and locate your records. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law; we may require proof of authorization. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

9. Children

The services are not directed to children under 16 (or under 13 where that standard applies), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

10. International users

Our services are offered for United States properties. If you access the site from outside the U.S., you understand information may be processed in the United States where privacy laws may differ.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Continued use of the services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy for subsequent use, except where additional consent is required by law.
